Jack Mohr started producing photographic content in 2014. After a few years of refining his style, he pushed his work out onto the Internet on his Facebook page which he launched on 13th of July 2015.
From a young age Jack had always had a camera (35mm film), although to this day it still hasn't had a roll of film in it. Jack's first client was the National Arboretum Canberra, after he won the Summer at the Arboretum competition in early 2015, which developed into volunteering as their photographer and then went on to doing work experience as their resident photographer for a week. Eventually he was offered a position as a freelance/contract resident photographer. During his work experience, he was given the opportunity to have a one-on-one with Canberra photographer Martin Ollman, he saw Martin's work as masterpieces - the crown jewel of photography. To this day the National Arboretum Canberra has always been a special place in his heart as it's where it all started.
In 2016, Jack decided to enter the fashion photography industry by introducing himself to the local fashion show, FashFest. Since then, he has gone on to becoming the assistant to fashion photographer Leighton Hutchinson, and he is also one of many photographers at FashFest.
Jack has had his work featured on Sydney Morning Herald Online, VisitCanberra (multiple times), RiotACT (multiple times) and much more. He also received "Honours", "Distinction" and had his work curated on VSCO. He also featured on Instagram "GoodRadShot," and then in early 2017 he become one of two co-curators.
In 2016, Jack was featured on local tourism site "VisitCanberra" for a snowy Arboretum image. After that, he fell in love with capturing the images of cities that appeal to travellers.
On the 24th of November, Jack had a honour of photographing Their Majesties King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein and Queen Rania Al Abdullah of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
In 2017, Jack signed as the photographer for the RiotACT, he also became the youngest photography team leader at FashFest, he manages the Arrivals Photography Team.
On Sunday the 22nd of October, an image he took from a Kids's Book reading event at the Lodge for Hands Across Canberra featured on the second page of the Canberra Times, then on Tuesday October 24 another image from the same event featured on the front cover (and 6th page) of The Chronicle.
Jack has packed a lot into a few years of commercial and personal work, and he knows his career has barely started, and he is dedicated to making his dreams a reality.
In 2018 Jack continued his studies in photography at the Canberra Institute of Technology where he received a Certificate IV in Photography & Photo Imaging (CUA41115).
